So im planning on starting on my research paper this weekend but im still stuck on which like identifying theme to choose. im stuck between psychological and mythological. the story im doing my paper on is “The lottery”  but i have sources that use both psy. and myth. explinations.

I like this poem  because it reminds me alot of myself. Back in the day i played 7 years of pop-warner football and loved every minute of it. Although i was not the reciever as the person in this story is describing himself as, i was still one of the most escential people on the field, the quarterback. Calling the plays and making them happen was a great challenge. the team depended on me and i rarely let them down. Making coach mad was one of my strong points as well. While he was calling the plays that i was suppose to run, sometimes i called an audible because i saw something different in the defense that he couldn’t see. He often got mad at me for doing this but after the play was over he knew i was right in making the decision that i did and wasn’t so mad anymore. In this poem the author describes in vivid detail about how he and his coach are feeling at the moment of the time-out through the touchdown. This poem makes me think about one day being able to become a coach for a football team because i love the sport so much and have played and experienced the game throughout my life.

My name is Nick Brosseau. i am a sophmore at san jacinto, and am majoring in mechanical engineering. after this year at san jac i will be attending texas a&m university and continuing my majoring degree. in my spare time i like to play football with my friends. i work at sun and ski sports as a salesman in all of our departments.
